2010 Convention Dates

With the new year comes a new round of conventions for gamers, techies, trekies, film buffs and anime fans!

QuakeCon 2010 will be held on August 12-15 in Dallas, Texas at the Hilton Anatole Hotel. Entrance into QC is free thanks to id Software, Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Media Inc.
Among exhibitions of the latest in video games and technology.. visitors can participate in world-class tournaments, meet developers and interact with fellow gamers on QuakeCon’s bring your own pc network!

BlizzCon 2010 dates have been set for October 22 – 23… BlizzCon is a celebration of all things Blizzard Entertainment.
Guests will be able to participate in panels, meet developers, get an inside look at future Blizzard products and more!
Tickets will be available for purchase soon and will require a Battle.net account.

Comic Con is set to take place in San Diego on July 22-25 at the San Diego Convention Center. Comic Con celebrates its 41st annual convention showcasing advancements in gaming, technology, anime, film, art, programming and more! Guests will get the chance to rub elbows with some of the entertainment industries finest including the legendary Stan Lee, Cartoonist Jerry Robinson and True Blood writer Charlaine Harris!! As of 3/6/2010 all four day passes have sold out, single day passes for Friday the 23 and Saturday the 24 have also sold out! Single day passes  are open for Thursday the 22 and Sunday the 25.

Penny-Arcade Expo is a three day gaming festival taking place March 26-28 at the Hynes Convention Center in in Boston Massachusetts!
During the event, Pax East attendees will be able to participate in tournaments, view concerts, sit in on panel discussions and peruse booth exhibits.
3 day passes and Saturdays single pass have already sold out..  single day passes for both Friday the 26 and Sunday the 28 are still available as of 3/6/2010.

MetroCon 8 will be held July 24-25 in Tampa, Florida at the Tampa Convention center.
Con guests will have access to a huge amount of entertainment including Human Chess, contests like costume and anime idol, Fantasy masquerade and booths.
MetroCon premier guests include Kirby Morrow, Doug Smith, and KellyJane and more!
Registration is open for VIP weekend passes, regular weekend passes and Fantasy Masquerade tickets as of 3/6/2010!

Gen Con is set for August 5-8 in Indianapolis at The Indiana Convention Center.
As one of the longest running conventions, Gen Con offers participants non-stop action.. meet game developers, view art shows, browse booths and more!
GC guests of honor include artist Tom Baxa, author Elizabeth Vaughan and industry giants Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis.
Event pre-registration will begin April 11 and end June 19. For those who missed pre-registration, tickets will be available through extended registration starting June 20.

    Oh I know.. QuakeCon would be incredible… I’d also love to go to E3… or even BlizzCon ^^
