Pax East Attendee’s Grand Theft Breach?!

PAX East 2010 premiered last weekend to throngs of gaming enthusiasts!
If you’re unfamiliar, PAX is a gaming expo held annually for the button mashing masses.

During the weekend event, Justin May, 20,  attempted to snag  the code for Breach, an unreleased Xbox Live Arcade title from Atomic Games floor display! Atomic Games had put a six million dollar price tag on the digits…A major flaw in his epic plan was that he actually told the developers he planned to steal it.
(are we on the same page?)

David Tractenberg, a spokesperson for Atomic response:
“The suspect did admit to us several times, including as he was doing it, that he was stealing the code. He said to myself and several other team members, after being caught, that it was not a big deal, he just really liked the game and wanted to play it with his friends,”

After successfully thieving the code, Justin was later caught downloading the content via laptop. The not so smooth criminal only managed to download 14MB out of about 2GB.. lol then slipped into the crowd to avoid being caught.

Justin had many excuses for how he happened upon the code, including a story he concocted about him using a spare Ethernet cable he found at an Atomic booth… sadly the tale doesn’t hold any truth, as the Hynes Convention Center runs wireless :P Nice try though…

Unfortunately the bad idea might hold heavier consequences than Mr. May bargained for…
After failing to show up for his arraignment March 30th, a warrant has been placed for his arrest! Among the charges are larceny, the gamer may be facing up to seven years jail time (or over $25,000 in fines).

In conclusion, don’t send a lvl 2 thief to do a lvl 80 mission.. Sir you are FAIL.
