The new add-on’s will allow users to travel to a parallel world called Abyssea that exists just beside Vana’diel.
In Abyssea, parties will be able to hunt NM’s, Hyper Notorious Monsters and some familiar creatures for newly created gear!
Not a fan of the grind? Square Enix promises hours of drawn out grinding will be no more!
and that FFXI players needn’t be concerned with over-populated areas.
Vision of Abyssea will be the first add-on to be released in summer 2010 and will cost players $9.99..
Both Heroes of Abyssea and Scars of Abyssea’s release dates have not been announced, each addition will cost players $9.99!
Craving content now!? Square Enix’ March version update will unlock more missions for the Wings of the Goddess expansion! The new March additions will benefit mostly veteran players already at the 75 level cap. Among the content released are new campaign ops, battleground Castle Zvahl and new rewards such as weapon skills that only campaign NPC’s currently use. A head to head battle with the Shadow Lord himself will be possible for players who fight for the allied cause… Emerging victorious against the dark lord will reap spoils such as weapons and armor.

Fresh meat!! March’ update will also have Notorious Monster hunters hands full with horde’s of new NM’s…

New Job Updates are coming, among the jobs being tweaked are Beastmaster, Summoner and Puppetmaster…
Beastmaster: An enhancement will be added making the “call beast” ability more usable!
Synergy recipe’s (used to create the consumable to do “call beast”) will be added and have a higher rate of yield for HQ items. Ingredients needed for Synthesize and synergize will be more easily obtained.

Summoner: Two long awaited avatars will be released in the March update, both Odin and Alexander will be available to use when the “Astral Flow” ability is in effect!
Alexander – Uses “Perfect Defense” which will reduce damage sustained by party members and prevent status ailments.
Odin – Uses “Zantetsuken” to vanquish all foes within the area of effect in one fell strike. When used against NMs, will instead deal damage.
Puppetmaster: Attribute adjustments will be made for the Harlequin and X-900 frames. Performance of attachments and automation’s will be more durable against incapacitation!
Puppetmasters hand-to-hand combat rating will be raised from rank C to A, making them formidable combatants in their own right.
