IE6 R.I.P., August 27, 2001 – March 5, 2010

Rest easy now my web-devvy friends.  IE6 is dead!  It was around the beginning of this year(2010) google announced it’s statement saying the web has evolved… so must those who use it.  Along with that a small list of browsers which; in simple terms, don’t suck.

Amongst the few chosen whome were chosen to continue life by the almighty google are…

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0+
• Mozilla Firefox 3.0+
• Google Chrome 4.0+
• Safari 3.0+

I can feel 2010 is gonna be a great year for the web already.  We must brace this, as a community, a worthy change in a step into the future of the internet and more importantly for us developers, web-standards!

A few of the noble designers over at Aten Design Group decided it was best we put this all behind us, remember IE6, but also to let go.  So for any of you conservative, computer junkies… please just allow that update to run, or even better yet install Firefox.  You won’t be sorry!  I could rant more on minor things wrong with each browser that is currently in use… but, I’ll save that for another day.
